i'm not gonna start off my entry with "happy cny!!" cos it isn't a very happy one for me :S am sickkkkk. like totally. i'm coughing and wheezing like no one's business, and plus i just recovered from fever that was on-off starting from CNY eve. and to top it all off, some idiot added ethanol into the tray meant for water in our lab's incubator resulting in ALL our cells dying. like every single frickin cell in every single frickin flask in the incubator is dead. gone. zilch. and i'm the hardest hit of all in my lab cos my project's totally dependent on my cells (other peeps have animal work and stuff), so... what a great start to the new year.

who in the right mind will put ethanol into the water??? walaoehhhhh. luckily i still have samples that i froze for Western Blot! zzz. or else i won't have any experiments to do. and i have to grow my cells all over again. i'm frickin irritated, as you can prolly tell.

and i'm coughing like an old hag as i type this.

MAYBE cos of all these bad luck, my luck will turn and i'll win big bucks during ban lak over the coming weekend. HA.

(i dunno if it's still on, but i secretly wish the bf will say that he's not going tmr and is gonna pei me at home instead. haha.)

school is starting in 4 days. my last semester as an NUS undergrad. it's scary how time flies, and it's pretty scary when you go out with a bunch of people and 3 quarts of the group is already working.

and i'm still nowhere near finding out what i want to do after i graduate. i really ought to start sourcing overseas unis, but something keeps telling me not to and to just focus on what's right infront of me now (read: FYP and last semester) and just see where life takes me. like i don't have enough worries already.

lab meeting was a damn scary affair. the presentation itself was fine, it was the Q&A after that which was totally nerve-wrecking. it's a good thing to have lab meetings actually, cos it's really a good prep for the real thing in April (or is it end of March?? OMG). and i'm really thankful for helpful seniors :) anw Bian has never had an Honours student who had less than a B+ for his/her FYP :( stress lor!! i don't want to be the first :(( summore i'm not exactly under him! zzz.

but all things aside, the inertia to start my thesis proper (lit review omggg siannnn) is the HUGEST i've ever encountered in the 22 years of my life.

so many nice movies coming up, so little time!

this seems like a pretty depressing post! lol. i've already told myself that this is the last week of my rather non-existent holidays so i better enjoy it to the max. and i did, so far :) amidst western blots and all. haha. and i'm so gonna enjoy fri sat and sun toooo!! although sunday is spring cleaning day as announced by my mum lol!

min bid was 2000 points for free rad! craziness!!

i'm kinda hooked on Okto :) do check out the 10pm slots especially. interesting documentaries! and i miss Heroes :(( february can't come fast enough! (but then again, i don't want feb to come so soon cos it means thesis submission and poster presentation's looming ahead :S)

and Gerrard :(( old news already, but i haven't blogged about it so i just have to! he's still my biggest hero no matter what :)) woooooot. really hope he'll be clear of all charges! but hard to say :( boooo.

anws ManU vs Chelsea on sunday! woooot. they better draw! i don't want Chelsea to win cos they're vying for top of the table with Liverpool, but at the same time i don't want ManU to win JUST BECAUSE. hahaha. so they better draw. hehh.

ok sleep time :) early day tomorrow! i have loads of hamster videos to share but i'm lazy to upload! another day another day :))

it'll be a pretty significant year when i look back 10 years down the road, cos 2009 will be a year of uncertainty, decisions to be made, dreams (or not) to be fulfilled, and the very beginning of the future that is to come.
