the BEEEG twentyone. haha finally! (when everyone's about to turn 22. or 24. hehheh :p) doesn't feel like it though. at first i thought turning 21 will invoke some strong feeling in me about the whole official adulthood thing and i'd feel a tad older (and wiser, maybe) etc etc... but nope, i still feel the same :) i always thought i'd dread turning 21, but hey, growing up is inevitable after all. haha. in retrospect, these 21 years have been a blast :) to the people who've been there along the way and who've been giving me all the love, i cannot thank you enough. and so i continue on this crazy journey that's life, and yep, i'll embrace everything that life has to offer, take it in my stride, and... enjoy. :) whee!
i was just reading the papers and there's this column in Life titled "32 years young and loving it". a quote reads, "You are only young once, but you can stay immature forever." HOW APT. hahahaha.
and the initiation to club 21 was _______ (insert a better word for wonderful). :) family, close friends minus a few SAD!, boyfriend manU fan :p, surprises, some pok-lovin' all the way from France, and soccer (although Liverpool didn't know it was my birthday and so they lost. RAHH). what more can i ask for to make my 21st birthday perfect :)) crying wasn't part of the plan, but ya i still did. i'm still touched :) hee.
i don't know what to say but to thank all of you so so so so so so much :) and a big thank you to all those who remembered :)) love you all!!

was talking to sab and jay (over soup and free flow of bread lol!) yesterday and the conversation eventually delved onto plans for the future. both of them pretty much know what they're going to pursue when they graduate, but me? i'm just living one day at a time, sitting back and looking at where life takes me. it's scary, really. i DO want to be a researcher (or rather i DID, cos i really dunno what i want now), but seeing how Singapore's Life Science industry is saturated with PhD holders and foreign talent etc etc, where does a little second upper Honours degree holder go? go further your studies after Honours, you say. go overseas, or go try out the Duke postgrad Medical School. easier said than done :'(
and then it boils down (yet again) to the same old question: did i make the right choice? yes being a Year 3 ALREADY, it's downright stupid to think about that now, but i still do. i haven't stopped thinking about that since i entered uni.
95% of the Life Science people i know are going to work in non-LS related fields. at least they know what they want in future, and they're certain that it'll lead them somewhere, somehow.
i don't, and it scares the shit out of me.

the exams are finally over!
and yet another semester is gone. it feels weird, cos many people whom i've grown so use to having around will be graduating next sem. i've grown so used to life in NUS, all the ups and downs, all the joy, all the stress, all these people, all that familiarity. and after next sem some of that familiarity will be gone, and i'm so not looking forward to that :(
and Heroes season 2 has only 11 episodes (it was slated to have 24 episodes)!! i was damn shocked when the words "End of Volume 2" appeared at the end of the episode. was totally STUNNED. the brother said it's because of the recent writer's strike, and i checked wiki and it's true! i'm damn sad you know :(( have to wait for more than half a year for season 3, which'll be all messed up cos i presume it has to incorporate the remaining half of season 2! booooo.
ok. i shall stop being so obsessed over a television series and change the topic. HAHA.
oooh i finally met up with ohmy (in braces and bright red rubber bands (are they called rubber bands anw? haha))! the only NUT i haven't seen the ENTIRE sem. rahhh. haha. missed you!
oh gosh i've got so many things i wanna do this holiday. YAYY to post-exam time :)) wooot.
