OHM!!! couldn't tag on your board (again) so i'm writing this. wahaha i'm doing biostats next sem. heard from my friends that it's kinda tough. is it?! and YAH biochem lab's damn boring! we measure pH and titrate drop by drop also. lol. haha wah our syllabus is very similar. hehe. are you doing biodiversity? guess what their practical's in the ZOO! so fun :( ha. i'm doing that next sem as well. can't wait!! huh what photo you talking about?! and i guess we can't ton over at your hall la. all of us are like damn damn busy now!! guess we can only go during sem break which is dunno when. lol. but then again sem break's for us to mug for our exams i think. oops. haha. anws glad you're enjoying your life at ntu :) STUDY ARH don't whole day play and play. heh! sigh sigh i miss you!!
okie i just realised if i were to tag on your board i wouldn't have enough space to write that whole chunk down. ha.
and the ARTS FAC PEEPS plus kl!!!! let's meet up every wednesday for lunch lei!! like last week :) but i can only meet you guys on even weeks cos i've got chem lab on odd weeks. booooo.
and speaking of chem lab, it was actually quite fun!! haha. we made salicylic acid crystals!! white and shimmery cotton-like stuff. pretty pretty :) i'd love to bring them home but we were not allowed to. sigh sigh! sherilyn the girl next to me and i were so overwhelmed by all the complex apparatus we've only seen in textbooks up till now that we made so much noise during the whole lab session. lol!! and i kept bumping (as in literally) into alan my SOW sp while walking around the lab to get apparatus and conc HCl and what-not. haha damn funny. he's quite nice after all. ha. hais but quite sad cos i couldn't complete my experiment during the whole 3 hours (bleh how slow can i get) and i had to go back the next day with sabrina to finish it. and putting chem lab right before a lecture is NOT a good idea cos i was a full 45 minutes late for my biochem lecture. sian like anything. haha!
I HATE DOING LAB REPORTS!!! so looooong and tedious. grrrr. and i need to hand in TWO next week. one for biochem and one for chem. like not sian.
today (oh should be yesterday since it's past midnight already) was mum's birthday :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY!!! i think she had the happiest birthday in a long time :) hee. and it involved the whole family pigging out like crazy the whole day! hehheh. oh and one thing: the service at Baker's Inn sucks. booooo.
blogging and munching on chocolates at 2.30 in the morning is NOT good :) shall go sleep. tata!

caught Bewitched on the spur of the moment. haha. a so-so but feel-good flick. lol. and it was damn funny because it left all of us trying to twitch our noses but to no avail. haha!
i'm so hoping that i won't screw up my organic chem lab tmr :( booooo. heard from those who attended lab today that it was a horrendous affair. argh! luckily i had zhichuan who patiently told me about the dos and donts and how-not-to-piss-the-lab-assistants-offs throughout the whole train journey back home just now. lol! thanks fridge!! :) so if i STILL screw everything up tmr i'm a gone case. bleh.
let's talk about lab sessions. haha. the molecular genetics lab's fun (i kinda enjoy playing around with the DNA lol) but the biochem and chem ones are so not. ok la i haven't attended the chem one yet (it's tmr) but i highly doubt i'll like it. haha! today's biochem lab was SUPER sian. i nearly fell asleep while titrating the solution drop by drop and recording the pH changes. wah damn sian can. hahaha. but the people at my bench're quite nice la. so it's good in a way. haha! and i'm lucky to get a nice lab partner for both genetics and biochem! so yayy :D for chem lab it's individual. SOB.
oh no i'm hungry!!!

one word describes university life: hectic. endless lecture notes to print; endless notes to copy; endless tutorials and assignments and lab reports to do; endless readings to complete (if you're taking an Arts subject); all these and not forgetting the social life, people to meet up with; lecture kakis, OG people, dearest friends both old and new; squeezing time between lessons to meet the people i love... on campus i see everyone rushing from LT to LT; LT to tutorial rooms, LT to canteen, yadda yadda... in between lessons i feel fortunate to have friends with me to study/crap/sleep/laze around with... i meet long-lost friends everyday...i meet new people everyday... and it's kinda amazing how different everyone's lives are, yet they're strangely all the same. sometimes when i get home at 8pm i'm too tired to even do anything, but i think of the day's happenings, friends i've met during the day, the extremely cheem Maths lecture that i finally understand, the laughter, receiving a sweet sms at the end of a busy day; and i smile and realise i'm contented with life and what i have.
university life is all that and more, and i'm glad to say i love it :)

now i seriously hate going for my History and Math lectures. boooo. History because i attend it alone (man i need familiar faces with me during lectures!!! lol) and Math because i really suspect that sinhui and i are the only souls in the LT who don't understand anything the lecturer says. sad case man. and i used to think that maths was easy. think again. lol.
the fireworks on Sunday were beautiful :) but the human traffic jam from marina south to the Esplanade was SO not. haha.
YAY i love my room to bits now. hehehehehe.

i know that being in love with someone is at times a tiresome affair; but i never knew being NOT in love with someone is even worse :(

anyhows on a less-depressive note i FINALLY FINALLY got to eat my favourite Swedish meatballs at Ikea today, after what seemed like, a year?! :) yum yum yum yum yum. and i got my loft bed! (those double-decker like beds except that there's no bed at the bottom deck but an empty space) so now i've got extra walking space in my teeny-weeny bedroom. yays :) spent the whole afternoon putting all the wooden parts together with my dad. a really tiring but damn funny process i must say!! shall go find a large and cheap bean-bag to put in my room when i'm out shopping tomorrow! haha.

entertainment at it's very chocolatey best :D haha. although the chocolate river was much too watery to look like real melted -slurp!!- chocolate and i found it really disgusting at some parts of the show. haha! the main idea: don't be a nasty little kid and you'll get what you want. ha. i love freddie highmore!! he's just so adorable :) -pinches cheeks- yesh wanni, johnny depp's teeth were hot!! lol.
anws school has been fun so far. hope it stays this way. haha. although i highly doubt it, since tutorials are coming our way :( bleh. saw quite a number of long-lost friends in school. it's like, this huge reunion in campus. ha! it's kinda nice when long-time-no-see primary/secondary school friends recognize you, and you feel all warm and fuzzy inside :) hees.
and i'm really thankful for the bunch of new-found friends i've made, cos without them uni life'd really be damn dreary. lol.

tired. pigged out so much today. hahaha.
went town after family lunch today to join jaymie, marc, zhichuan and hendrick after their kbox session. sat down at BigO for the whole afternoon just talking and erm being comfortable in each other's presence. haha. shared a reeeally sinful The Dark Side with marc. sinful (VERY!!) but oh-so-heavenly :D think thick choc mudpie completely covered with yummilicious chocolate dripping down the sides and topped with whipped cream. oooooh yum :) wanted Bailey's Cheescake but there weren't any left. sad!! shall eat just that the next time i step foot in there. haha.
then i joined the family for frog porridge at Geylang for dinner!!!! been craving for that every single night during SOW. hahaha my OG people'll know. ha. ohmygosh just thinking of it right now makes me hungry. i think i refilled my bowl like thrice. ha. goodness someone please stop me. haha. we also ordered beef horfun (the best in Geylang according to my bro). and ohmygosh it was really good la. the beef was DAMN SOFT!! and the taste was really goooooood. -faints-
and we saw the ndp fireworks!! hee so happy :) we were on the Sheares Bridge on our way to my dad's office for ktv, and the entire stretch of road was packed with cars and everyone was like out of their cars waiting for the fireworks. haha! so we decided to stop too. hee. my first time ever standing in the middle of the expressway. lol! the Marina South fireworks were also going off at the same time, so it was like, two areas in the sky lighting up with sparkling fireworks simultaneously. damn pretty :) i am SO going for the fireworks festival this sunday :)))) yays!
oh man i'm seriously very hungry now. hahaha. shall go see what's in the fridge.
i need to exercise really badly. urh! hope the tennis/badminton session before my 4pm LSM lecture tomorrow will go on as planned!!
and grrrr i have to go for my history lecture tomorrow morning alone :( boooooo. arts fac is SO foreign! hope i don't get lost there or sth. hahaha. can anyone tell me where's LT 8?!?! lol.

+first day as a university student+
rather fun i must say :) i was kinda apprehensive at first because i was afraid i'd be going to lectures and stuff alone, but i realised that there're many people i know who have the same modules as me! hee. except maybe for CM1121 tutorials and lab plus my stupid History module (i can't even remember the name without checking haha), yays i've got people with me for the rest! :) hees. shanshan, sabrina and i were three ultimate blur queens the whole of today, which was really really hilarious. hahaha. stupid idiots, guys are. heh. oh and i had a tutorial from 6 to 7pm today. like wth right. rotted (is there such a word? haha) my butt off with kl from 3 to 6. haha thanks for the company! :)
anws so so sorry i couldn't catch Charlie with you and ohm today :( and many thankies to you two for not pang seh-ing me.. hee :)
headed to town with zhichuan and paul to join our OG peeps for dinner after the tutorial. speaking of which we should've just skipped that tutorial la. it was so dumb and a complete waste of time. bleh. so anws, yup joined our OG peeps for dinner. guess where did we go?!?! ok here's a summary. i stopped at inauguration ceremony right. k here goes.
tuesday
flag day. was supposed to meet at 7.30am at Toa Payoh but the whole world turned up at 8.30. lol! chung yee, joo teng and i were the only freshies there on time. damn proud of myself man. heh. yup so i flagged with the two of them and jian hang the whole morning. think our OG was the most slack of all. hahaha damn funny. at like around 11am all of us received calls from hendrick our ogl to meet at mac to rest. so we ended up sitting there and talking crap and singing and making a whole lot of noise till around 2pm. ok so we continued flagging for awhile and then hendrick asked us to meet at bk for lunch. haha! we sat there till like 5 and then we called it a day. see how slack we are. heh. but my tin can was half full leh! quite an accomplishment, considering the fact that we ate and slacked more than we flagged. haha. it was really fun as i got to know my OG better through the talking crap sessions the whole day. and i met all kinds of people while flagging. i was told off by at least three uncles cos they thought we were raising funds for NKF or sth. -rolls eyes-
wednesday
met in school at 4pm to discuss the skit we had to put up on the last night with our buddy OG, Hannibal. nothing much came out of the discussion la haha.
the night was Infernal Affairs, which wasn't very fun. just ran and ran around science fac, got chased by 'police' and gambled for 'ecstacy pills'. so it was quite dumb. ha. the riddles we had to solve were damn tough, so we were rather impressed. haha. our whole OG ended up in 'jail' (or rather the place they used as jail la) to celebrate paul's birthday (cut cake sing song and all) while those who were really in 'jail' looked on with amusement. haha! then we just sat there and watched as other OGs enthusiastically ran around. lol. we were just super sian-ed to carry on with the game. ha. know what i mean by us being the slackest of all? hahaha.
after all that, we went back to our tutorial room and the guys applied full-body camou cream on paul. he thought better of resisting. lol! all the girls initially wanted to go out of the room so that the guys can tekan him more (heh!!) but decided we didn't want to miss out the fun. hahaha.
stayed up all night looking at them play mahjong and crapping away. we opened up two tables, one for freshies and one for our seniors. haha our room became a gambling den! we attracted alot of curious onlookers from other OGs. even wei dong and ryan the director and V-director of SOW came to check it out. hahaha damn funny can. the seniors were damn zai, they played and played continuously the whole night. at like around 6am zhichuan and i were the only freshies left awake and the seniors were still playing! haha. both of us couldn't tahan already and ended up sleeping on the chairs amidst our seniors' shouts and banging of tiles. haha. wah and we saw hendrick's "other side" man. ha. don't see him wai biao si si wen wen, when he plays mahjong all kinds of vulgarities in all kinds of languages just spills out of his mouth. lol!
thursday
sentosa day. but it was cancelled because of the rain. i left early in the morning for home to worry about the bidding shit while i heard the rest stayed on to, you guessed it, PLAY MAHJONG. hahaha. i slept the whole afternoon in my exceptionally confortable bed. sigh :) hahaha.
friday
met in school at 11am to prepare for our skit. made props. made sadako's hair out of garbage bags and a plasma tv out of cardboard boxes. damn hilarious! our skit's theme was "Love Accidentally" and it was about sadako and hannibal (cos our OG is The Ring and our buddy OG is Hannibal) meeting and falling in love. lame but really funny. ha. paul was sadako and another guy from Hannibal was erm, hannibal. ha. we wanted marc to be hannibal but thought that hannibal should come from erm, Hannibal, so sigh. haha. it'd be really funny if it was marc being hannibal. hahaha have i made you all confused?! heh.
it was SP night after that. quite awkward. sat with jaymie, lin jin and their SPs. ended up talking to them and their SPs while my SP sat in silence. i was quite sian diao. haha. but kudos to the managing committee cos they made alot of effort decorating the science canteen, with red table cloths and candles and rose petals on the tables. hahaha.
that night our OG took taxis to Holland V for supper. went nydc and i shared a tiramisu(!!!) mudpie with jaymie. was really hungry and i ended up koping a bit of everything from everyone else. greeeeeedy me. heh. talked, took photos, had fun :) headed back at around 3am. played dai dee, Friendster-surfed, gossiped (heh). most of them turned in at 5am while six of us sat on the corridor (cos it was freeeeezing in the room) and talked and talked alot about stuff. haha. yay had so much fun :)
saturday
rag day!!! it was fricking hot. gahhhh. cheered and cheered like crazy. our OG ran off to the University Hall after science fac's performance. took a whole lot of hilarious pics, sat around until the cleaning lady chased us away. went back under the scorching sun. cheered and cheered. danced around. sang at the top of our voices. SCIENCE FAC WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! like wowsie :D many seniors cried and hugged one another. we cheered and cheered and cheered and cheered and cheered. i finally felt something for my faculty. haha.
after breaking camp we wanted to go ktv (yes, after cheering ourselves hoarse. hahaha) but everyone was totally stoned and zonked out. haha. so we went back home :(

i miss SOW. i miss The Ring. i miss the late night crapping. i miss the pigging out at night. i miss the mahjong (although i didn't play). i miss singing at the top of our voices in the LT. i miss cheering for The Ring and science fac. i miss our freaky banner. i miss the countless hilarious photo-takings. i miss the singing out loud while bathing (haha). i miss the OG bonding. i miss indian poker and the name game. i miss the corny forfeits. i miss the laughter. i miss the friends i've made.

+Freshmen Inauguration Ceremony+
hahaha it was quite funny. i ended up playing bingo with weelee and shan shan and trying hard not to be caught by the camera. hahaha. and i ended up staring at spg's head (he was sitting 2 rows in front of me) cos his golden hair was damn bright. lol!! and yes, did anyone notice that they spelt 'effervescence' wrongly on the banner?! hahaha. yes we were THAT bored. ha. and oh, i thought those cloak-like things the profs wore looked like they came from harry potter. heh. but the acappella performance was damn good. hehe.
went with my OG to Holland V's crystal jade (!!!!!) after the ceremony for dinner.. i LOVE crystal jade :) gringringrin!! haha. stupid joo teng cracked us all up with his funny antics all through dinner. and we all talked alot about our jc lives and stuff. hee quite fun! and most of them went to play pool after dinner (i would've gone if they weren't going bukit timah. like huh?! hahaha), so me and 4 other girls lompang-ed sean's (one of our seniors) car to the mrt station to go back home.
speakin of which, i wanna have a bf with a car!! hehheh.
SIGH i've been allocated group A1 for my core modules :( damn suay can. we have 2 days which end at 7pm!!!! grrrr. and one of the days is a friday. thanks ah :( and majority of my OG peeps're in group A2. bleh. so far only three people in my OG is in A1 with me. sad. hope we can go for lectures together! -crosses fingers-
wah and NOW THEN i'm told that i've to register for my desired practical timeslot for CM1121 tomorrow. AND it's first come first served. AND i'm going for flag day early tmr morning. just great. sometimes i feel so so so thankful that i have shiqi who can help me with all this crap. THANK GOOOOOOOODNESS. love her to bits!! i'm so gonna treat her when all this crap is over!!!
