+SOW part I+

am back from camp! but next week still have la. haha. ok it's much much better than i expected? at least my OG's nice and all. hmmm think i very much prefer my present OG than the union camp one cos i guess we kinda bond more? maybe because we have lesser people in one group ba. haha. what's funny is that i didn't really like the day programmes itself, what i liked about the 3 days were, yes, the 2 nights. haha! cos those were the times when we really bonded as an OG in our tutorial room, playing spastic games, truth-or-dare, telling stories, eating prata in the corridors, the (childish) guys scaring the girls, the making sure our flag doesn't face us when we sleep (cos our flag's damn creeeeeepy. my OG's name is The Ring, what do you expect? haha), the shivering like crazy in the room and rushing out into the warm air whenever we had the chance, walking all the way to fong seng for supper, singing songs, ... ... countless stuff la. haha :)

oh and fright night wasn't as scary as union camp's. HENG ARH!!! i guess it's because i was already prepared, having been scared out of my wits during union camp's fright night. haha! anws i was trying damn hard to look brave the whole time. lol! so it was damn funny. and between stations we told lame jokes so it kinda eased the tension a bit. ha.

tomorrow's Freshman Inauguration(?) Ceremony.. sigh have to think of what to wear. i don't have formal wear!! grrr.. and it's OG outing after that! yay :)

ktv with the family at my dad's office was an entirely LOL process. haha! all that impersonating jay and david tao and that hilarious "kong zi de zong xing si xiang" song, lovely duets :), my dou jiang you tiao!!!, all the funny oldies my parents chose, my dad BOOMING into the mike, shiqi and i frantically searching for songs while the brother tore the house down attempting some Guang Liang song... hahaha! damn funny man..

Sunday
a failed Ahi outing at ecp. only three people turned up. yes, THREE. how pathetic! haha. but i had fun all the same :) just that dear clumsy me was happily walking when i FELL ONTO THE ROAD on all fours. bahhh. and now i've got nicely scrapped knees as souvenirs. booooo.

Monday
headed down to NUS for a whole day of talks. like not sian. am still overwhelmed by everything that needs to be understood. cos obviously i'm still damn blur right now :(
went back to GE Money to visit my colleagues!!!! yay :) dinner with the kakis was at some dim sum restaurant at Suntec. caught up with everyone's lives, chunyan and i received updates on office gossip (heh heh), laughed till our sides ached, you-get-the-idea :)

Today
lunch at NUS Arts Fac with kl and tony, followed by matriculation! the queue was frickin long can. oh. i'm officially an undergraduate at NUS. how nice. bleh. and after matriculation was matric fair. was forced to register for NUSSU bizcom by Ahi seniors. haha. eh i guess it'll be fun with the whole Ahi in full force in bizcom? hmmm.

okies thursday's the start of Science Orientation Week all the way till next saturday.. will be staying over for.. 4 nights? yah 4 nights. not really looking forward to the whole orientation thingy. but maybe it'll be fun, like Union Camp? maybe. hmmm. and there's fright night. wish me luck, pple. and i need my knees to heal!!!! ARGH! how to play games liddat?! sigh. and oh btw my group's called The Ring. lol.

so i guess i won't be blogging till the week after next.. so yes, tata for now :)

today was fun :) morning was spent at nus listening to the SOW briefing (the guy briefing us was damn funny haha) and then practically going all over the campus to look for some prospectus book which my bro's gf recommended. apparently it's supposed to come in useful for bidding of modules (speaking of which i'm damn nervous about the bidding crap cos i know zilch of it sigh). so ya, thanks kl for running all over nus with me! but in the end we didn't get the book. like bleh. haha. lunch was at Munchie Monkey! quite nice :) hee. then we headed down to town for a spot of shopping. quite a productive trip i must say!! haha. and dinner was at ThaiExpress!!! -grins- i LOVE ThaiExpress :D

and ya anws i'm feeling quite sian right now. ha. guess ohm and kl knows why. bahhh. and yes ohm you're back from camp!!! yay. i'm still waiting for you to watch Crash together!! better don't bang seh me arh! and sigh you start school like next week. like not sian. KL AND I WANNA CRASH YOUR HOSTEL!!!!! haha that's in caps to make sure you see it :D heh.

i'm still not used to not having daniel ong on air in the mornings. sigh. Morning Madness played a HUGE part in my life during the jc days ok! :(

and bleh i haven't gotten my copy of Harry Potter yet :( like @$&*^#@&$!!! sighs long story. if the book's not in my mail tomorrow i'm gonna bang my head against the wall. ha.

my skin's starting to peel, like finally. i just hope to get rid of the letters H, A and I (in that order) on my left arm. GRRRRR. hahaha kinda funny, come to think of it! why's it not A-H-I? come ask meeeee.

+AHI!!+

Ahi outing yesterday was a blast! save for some really awkward situations. but i had fun all the same. haha.. yay i finally learned how to blade after like so many years since the time i fell and didn't dare to learn blading ever again. haha. so many thanks to tony and barry who taught me and always caught me before i lost my balance, and also to wenhan who helped pull me whenever i couldn't move (albeit laughing at the way i wobbled about. daaarn him. ha), and also to kl who was there for me to hold whenever i was about to fall! hahaha.. sigh i stupidly left my camera in the locker while we were blading so there aren't any pics (they'd be really hilarious!!) of the whole learning-to-blade process, complete with girls screaming and falling on our bums and the guys acting seh. lol. my left buttcheek hurts right now btw. ha! kinda bonded with the peeps present esp the girls, so yayyy am happy :)

yesterday night was ktv at K-ster in Chinatown. why why why Chinatown?! lol. so anws, yes ktv. didn't really sing much cos as you know i'm not a ktv person haha.. but the people made the whole thing really enjoyable :) ha. anws damn sad la i didn't get to sing any jay chou songs (i was waiting for his songs the whole night) cos i left earlier. hais.

am really hoping that this new bunch of friends i made will accompany me throughout my uni years, although i guess it'll be really hard for us to meet up when school starts, since we're all in different facs and all. sigh.

and i've finally found someone who has the same birthday as me!!! WING!!! we rock mans.. hahaha...

spent the whole of yesterday and today sitting down somewhere with friends and talking, then doing some shopping, then sitting down to talk again. haha! pretty fun :) ok la, yesterday was more of walking here and there till my feet ached (ALL BECAUSE of ohm. heh. -kl and wanni nod vigorously in agreement- haha kidding! yay i finally bought my C&Ks!!!) and today was more of sitting around, talking and EATING (though sinhui and i managed to buy a skirt each amidst all that lazing about). hah. ok no link. ha.

i thought we were the most auntie-like people for cutting out the Straits Times Fantastic Four coupons in hopes of catching the movie at $1.60 today, but who was to know that all seats for both times (4pm and 6pm) were already snapped up when we reached cine at 11 plus! darn. haha.

blah i'm suffering the after-effects of camp. lol. i dream of camp stuff when i sleep at night! is that like, good or bad?! hahaha. and they're going for mambo night this wed. that's too bad cos i don't club. hurhur.

read one of my OG friend's blog and decided to write this meaningful phrase down in case i forget. this was said during the heart-to-heart session four of us had on the last night of the camp. Never ever judge yourself by what others think of you. hmmmm ponder ponder ponder :)

+Union Camp :D+

i have lots and lots and lots of things to say but don't know how to put them into words. ha. am disgustingly BLACK and aching all over right now. slept from 4pm yesterday till noon today, so i'm feeling kinda shiok now (although i'm gonna go sleep again after this). ha! am too lazy to describe everything, but here goes..

camp was great :) made new friends and met many old ones.. the games were not really very wow but i guess my OG made them fun all the same. ha. i think the war games were the most happening of the lot. haha! got all dirty crawling on all fours most of the time on the grass and that was when my knees and hands got cut and bruised all over. lol. and we got soaked to the bone with water from water bombs and the frequent "mass Ahi shower" using the water hose. haha! and not to mention the fact that our group won the war games!!! like not seh. haha. complete with face paint and all. ha. didn't play pool games cos of obvious reasons (the guys were funny enough to ask me why) so i was left cheering on the group with the councillors. but it was fun all the same cos we kept thinking of unique cheers and going all bonkers shouting them. ha. beach games was fun except that i got soaking wet and with sand and dunno-what-else in my pockets so it was super gross. ha.

fright night. i was damn freaked out. it was in haw par villa btw. we went in fours but there were two stops we had to go in pairs. the scariest and no doubt the most memorable one was when two of us had to go inside this pitch dark toilet to look for a lighter and then i (yes, alone) had to go inside the last cubicle which was quite big, close the damn door and find a candle to light. wah indescribably scary can. i hecked the ghost and die die didn't want to let go of my partner's hand, so the ghost bo bian had to let both of us into the cubicle. lol! and for the rest of the stops the stupid ghosts kept asking the girls to do the tasks cos i think we looked scared la, clinging to the guys and all. haha. the last stop was in pairs and the stupid ghosts in the stupid cave also asked me to do everything. wth. ha. so girls, next time for fright night, no matter how scared you are, pretend that you're not and look straight at the ghost. ha.

oh okay the whole SP thing. it was really dumb, fullstop. though i was lucky to get a pretty nice guy for my SP, we had absolutely nothing to talk about, so it was damn sian. and i felt quite bad leaving him to join my OG mates in the club, but that was what everyone was doing right? right. and oh yes, clubbing. damn sian. i still have no idea what's so fun about getting high on drinks and squeezing onto the dance floor and moving to the pulsating beats and shaking away. -_-''' sorry to the clubbers out there k, i mean no offence. so me, kl and two other guys escaped from it all and ended up sitting by the s'pore river (my all time fave past-time!!) and talking about everything. so it was great in a way :) and yup that was the last night of our camp. we went for supper at around 1 plus as an OG at this 24-hr roti prata store beside NUS. then when we went back to Eusoff at around 3 a.m. some of us (including some seniors) sat around and talked and talked and talked the night away. until around 6 a.m. most of them buay tahan already and decided to turn in, and so there was one guy and three girlies left talking. i thought our chat was really heart-to-heart and kinda inspiring! haha. it was as if i saw everything in a different light after that. ya a bit exaggerating but that was how i felt the next morning. ha. so it was totally worth the sacrificing of sleep the whole night. hee.

oh ya cheering like crazy the whole of five days was really fun. i always get this i'm-really-proud-of-my-group feeling whenever we cheer. lol! kl i miss the Shwagali cheer already!!! haha. and oh yes the Cadbury song. so nice :) i finally remember the words. quick everyone sing! "wouldn't it be nice if you're from Ahi, then we can smile and be happy. when we see each other we go hee hee, then we jio each other for coffee.. wouldn't it be nice.." awwww! haha. ok i'm going all high right now. ha!

lol at the beginning of this post i mentioned that i'm too lazy to describe everything, but here i am typing in my longest entry ever. haha.

the only thing i regret is not bringing my camera :( like not sian. so now i'm waiting for everyone to post the pictures in the yahoo group!! yay :) and i can't wait for OG outing!!

so all in all, i'm glad i joined union camp! had so much fun :) sigh should've gone for science camp.. now i still don't know anybody in life science (except for ziyang the banana). practically all the guys in the camp are from engineering and all the girls are scattered in different facs. sigh.

i'm looking forward to orientation week now :)

summary of the week:
Monday was In My Father's Den with sinhui and a whole lot of laughing fits (hahaha); tuesday was hanging out at tm and suntec with ohm and walking till our feet ached; wednesday was sleeping in and spending the rest of the day watching my recorded tv programmes; thursday was a really hilarious medical checkup at NUS with kl and ph; today was War of the Worlds with kl and cel and then meeting ohm for Cafe Cartel; and tomorrow's gonna be bbq at ql's house! can't wait :)

two good movies in a week! yay :) In My Father's Den made me think a lot about stuff although some parts were really confusing! ha. the directing was superb..
I'd rather be nobody somewhere than to be somebody nowhere.. :)
and War of the Worlds kept us at the edge of our seats (not to mention that Tom Cruise was really hot :)) but the ending was a bit "huh wth?!?!" lol. but it was still nice overall!

i finally finally finally got my hands on Howie Day's Stop all the World Now!!!!!!! happy!!! am listening to it now :)

i'm off to camp next week.. don't really know if i'm looking forward to it or not. bleh. sigh was actually planning to meet up with long-time-no-see people like slacker and iris and my colleagues, but i guess that has to wait till the following week :(

it's weird to call NUS "my school". ewww. it feels so much better to call tj or stnicks "my school", but NUS? it's so foreign it scares me man. ha.
