stressed over FYP.
stressed over tons and tons of assignments.
this song is on repeat mode on my lappie/in my head.
Heroes provides an escape from reality for 45 minutes. how i love those 45 minutes.
tomorrow will be the first time in many many years i won't get to eat yummy Malay food prepared by the neighbours for lunch, cos you know why? i'll be in the frickin lab, inhaling hydrogen sulphide, freezing my ass off and feeling sorry for myself.

we got lucky and managed to snag a pair of F1 tickets (family friend's lobang), so the brother and i went, and i pretty much had the experience of a lifetime :)
i knew zilch about F1 before last night (i asked my dad, "there's Schumacher rite?"), and i still know zilch now, but i LOVED it. the atmosphere, the fast cars, the deafening roar of the engines even with ear plugs on, and the S'pore skyline providing an awesome backdrop as those pretty things whizzed by in a flash. we could hear them miles away even before we saw them.
who cares if it was just the practice session and not the real deal, it was enough for me :)
yum. today's the parents' 27th wedding anniversary and i happily tagged along for dinner :p
pigging out is good for the tired soul :) yesterday at the GP i finally satisfied my cravings for hokkien mee. wooot. overpriced, mass-cooked, and a tad watery, but i was too hungry to care.
and it's pigging out again tomorrow! i love :D
and the long-awaited Heroes Season 3 is out :))) just watched the premiere which consists of 2 episodes straight! looking forward once again to weekly doses of Heroes
and Milo V :p although i don't like Peter-from-the future cos he looks.. sinister. lol.
Liverpool won the derby tonight!! yayness.

barrage of videos and a few random peektures:
"The artist with no eyes"
this vid will leave your mouth hanging open.
and this! finally the full version of Imagine :))
goosebumps goosebumps. in a good way :)
Slipping Through My Fingers - my fave song from Mama Mia!
it's my fave scene too, but too bad i can only find this short part of it on youtube.
sunset :) while walking home one day..
i heart desserts! (and the someone i pig out with hehe.)
upside down caution sign in the MRT lol.
have been keepin busy with lab doing a brand new experiment. failed the first time, but at least i'm learning as i go along. note to self: must maintain such attitude!
one of my lab seniors (Man U fan.. boring!) has resorted to forcing me into saying that Liverpool sucks whenever i approach him with my queries, or else he refuses to teach me stuff. evilness. i called him a sore loser :D
on a different note, today i was talking to the same senior about fulfilling one's dreams, and i left the conversation pretty much 'inspired'. some things are attainable, no matter how hard and long the road is towards them. it all depends on how much you want it.
i think the one thing that's preventing me from reaching out for what i want, is my fear that i can't get it. i doubt myself most of the time. i don't think i'm good enough.
it's time i start to seriously think about what i want out of life. and it's time i start believing in myself.

"For the first time since April 2004, and first time at Anfield since 2001, the home side defeated their great enemies in the League and it was a victory truly deserved."
like finally! a great start for things yet to come :)) must take things slow and steady! hahaha.
notice how subdued my excitement is :p heh.
Secondhand Serenade writes the most heartbreaking lyrics! that's prolly why i love his songs so :) lol.

Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat's Lucky
happy feel-good song of the mo! "I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend" :)
anws Jason Mraz looks exactly like Hugh Grant in the first picture lol.
lab is stressing me outtttt. so so so many things to do, so many things to learn, so many things to find out :(( sometimes i wish i have a senior in lab whom i'm directly working under, so he/she's assigned to help me out. sigh. i do have really helpful seniors in lab now, but all of them have their own projects to worry about, projects that are very different from mine, so sometimes i feel damn bad that i have to thick skin-ly ask them for their time. zzz.
and like right now, i'm having problems with my hypoxia reactions but i have no one to turn to cos i'm the only one in the lab who uses the chamber. damn sucky leh. even the prof isn't sure how to use it!
and i hate hate hate CAs with negative marking!! @%!*&^!$% the other day we were all discussing how it's possible to get -100 for the test and how it's exactly 200 marks lower than the maximum score and how we can just forgo the test and get zero marks AND possibly still be higher than a percentage of the cohort and we ended cracking up cos the thought is damn funny! although it's so not funny i know :S
and yayy the bf has finally gotten his life back now that his design project is over and done with :) good for him! (and me as well hehh!)

i have a love-hate relationship with Changi Airport.
i love the airport because going there equals going on holiday. i love the smell of the airport when i push the luggage trolley and enter the departure hall; the excitement of throwing everything behind and discovering yet more corners of the world. i love exploring the transit area, using the free payphones and grabbing a bite before boarding. i love planes; window seats and looking at clouds beneath my feet. i love the exhilaration of taking off. i love watching movies up in the air, knowing that in a matter of hours i'll be stepping on foreign soil.
i love the airport too, because it is where i spend hours mugging for various exams throughout the years. i guess i should correct this heh. i don't love the airport for the mugging, but i love how it brings respite from the books and notes whenever i feel like it, cos food is within reach, and the viewing gallery is just a walk away.
i love the airport, because it's another place to hang out in boring Singapore. i love looking at planes on the runway. i love watching planes take off. i love walking around aimlessly and watch people go by. i love the first scene of Love Actually, that warm fuzzy feeling :)
there are so many reasons why i love Changi Airport, but the one reason why i hate it overrides everything.
i hate the airport, because it's a place for goodbyes. :((
take care hor!! although you won't be able to see this lol stupid ban. see you again in January :)
2 long years. in 2 years time, when ohm finally comes back for good, i wonder where i will be in life.
in other news, i finally exercised after goodness knows how long! jogged 4 rounds round the track today. i already wanted to die by the second round lol. stitches were killing me. but the adrenaline rush was worth it :) i need more exercise man.
and i'm bloody stressed! what's new :(( ok pharmacogen here i come :(
